I ordered some stuff off Play.com yesterday and I’ve started receiving the confirmation of despatch e-mails. As I was reading through one of them I noticed at the bottom this line:
By receiving this email from play.com you are accepting our terms and conditions, a copy of which can be found on the website
That’s brilliant! [...]

Then You need New Personas for Firefox from those wacky boffins at Mozilla Labs!

Recently I accidentally deleted all my Google Reader RSS feeds!
To be honest I haven’t been getting the best out of Google Reader af late because, I suspect, it had become too overwhelming. There were hundreds of articles lurking there taunting me. I would just scroll through them, barely even skimming them, just to try and [...]

At the risk of turning this into a Thunderbird blog, I must tell you how my love affair with this fantastic program is going.
The latest addition to my set-up is the Lightning add-on. This add-on brings the features of Mozilla’s calendar/scheduling program Sunbird directly into Thunderbird. With the addition of another add-on you [...]

Gallows Picture

Looking at my stats I noticed that several people have visited looking for my Gallows picture that used to be posted here before “The Great Cleanout of 2007″. So as not to disappoint if that’s what you came looking for, here it is:

Naturally I’ve been playing with a few add-ons (plug-ins, extensions call ‘em what you will) and I’ve discovered a couple of great ones:
Quickquote
I’m a strong believer in only quoting what is necessary when replying to an e-mail. [...]

After getting the ‘new software‘ bug I thought I’d give a few blogging tools a go.
Scribefire
The first one I tried was Scribefire. This is a Firefox plugin so it’s easy to add posts to your blog while surfing the web. Just select some text on the page you want to blog about, then [...]

Inspired by a post on LifeHacker, I decided to give GMail’s new IMAP access feature a go with Thunderbird.
Not got IMAP in GMail yet?
Being a UK GMail user, I tend to find that I have to wait before I can access new features. I checked the settings and, sure enough, no option to [...]

Fruity Sweets

Today, while enjoying a pack of delicious Maoam chews, I noticed that that little green guy (who apparently is known only as ‘The Maoam Man‘) is enjoying himself a little too much with that anthropomorphic fruit. He certainly seems to be doing a lot more than just squeezing that lemon!

What I hate about Christmas

For the most part I love Christmas. The atmosphere, spending time with my family, the food, the corny songs we’ve heard a millions times before but still sing along to, Choirs singing carols so beautifully it brings tears to your eyes, rich fruit cake, mince pies, the decorations, even Christmas shopping; I love it [...]
